TEEN ART GALLERY EXHIBIT: Banner of Grafitti
Free public opening reception on
Wednesday, January 12th, 5-7 p.m.
"Banner of Graffiti" inaugurates the library's new Teen Art Gallery, located at the Main Library across from the Teen Library and Teen Space (by the cafe). Art work ranges in medium from acryclic, colored pencil and collage to Sharpie marker and spray paint. The work was created at Boulder Prep High School under the direction of Sarah Brymer and Forrest Brinker. Plans are to display art created by area teens on a rotating basis. The current exhibit includes art work by Maria Noriega, Nychai Burrell, Eli Bravo, Caitlin Buck, Sierra Garcia, Maria Ramierez, Alex Garcia, Chris Haynes, Sandra Ortega, Seth Cain, and Breonna Borrega. The exhibit is on display through the end of February.
*GO TOURNAMENT*
Sunday, January 16th, 2-4:30 p.m.
Compete to see who is the best Go player in your age range. The best players in each group win magnetic Go sets, and all participants receive an official American Go Association rating and will be listed in the AGA's web site.
